The Spare is a totally gutted and renovated 1930’s cabin. We have done our best to preserve the homespun charm and appeal of this delightful cabin by restoring all of the lovely woodwork and furnishing it with many vintage decorations and artwork. Upon entering the cabin, you will be transported to a time when families left the hot city to come to their cabin up north, not only for the fresh air and rest and relaxation, but to spend quality time together doing the things they most enjoy- a true escape! That said, all upholstered furniture, beds/ bedding, bathrooms, kitchen and appliances/wood stove are new in 2010.
Head to the beach, rent a boat/kayak, take a bike ride, take a hike, take a picnic to Peninsula State Park, go fishing, play board games, go go-carting, play mini-golf, go to the drive-in theatre, pick cherries, go bowling, go shopping or out to eat! The Spare is conveniently located near whatever it is that you and your family love to do in Door County! When you’re done, come back to the cabin, kick back and relax in the tranquil setting!

Floor Plan Description
Drive up a charming wooded driveway to this cabin in the woods. You’ll climb three steps to a cozy front porch and enter the house into a living/dining room. The dining table is directly in front of you while the seating area is to your left. There is a door immediately to your right to a bedroom with two twin beds and a full bath with shower stall only. Also off to the right from the living/dining room is the kitchen. On the opposite side of the house, you’ll find a bedroom with queen bed, a half bath, and a bedroom with two twin beds. The living room has an exit to the back porch to enjoy the gorgeous woods right in your backyard.
