This historic log cabin dates back to the earliest days of Ephraim.  It has been completely restored and furnished with new beds and upholstered pieces along with antiques and collected art work.  Situated on 40 acres of meadow, with picturesque windmill, this restored historic log home dates back to  earliest times in Ephraim.  It is the cottage and acreage written about in the columns and book  "The Artist's Wife" by Betty Bowers and once housed the gallery and studio of the well-known artist, the late Patrick Bowers.  With a gas fireplace, air conditioning, complete laundry, two bathrooms and four-plus bedrooms, it is an ideal setting for one or two families to gather for vacation or reunion.

Experience breathtaking sunsets and quiet country mornings at this four bedroom family retreat.  Located just outside of Ephraim, this property offers all the makings of a memorable Door County vacation.  Walk or bike the country roads to town (about 1.5 miles), relax in the hammock, or just spend a lazy afternoon with a good book on the front, screened-in, porch.  As evening falls, gather the family around the fire or trek into town for ice cream.  Located in close proximity to both Sister Bay and Ephraim, and a short drive to beaches, restaurants, and shops.

Floor Plan Description

You’re greeted by three steps up to a screened porch with a picnic table and seating.  Open the front door and you’ll find a cozy living space with a seating area in front of you and a table and chairs to the right.  The kitchen is on the left and has a center island with stools.  Through the living space to the left you’ll take two steps up and find a hallway; directly across & two steps down is a den/”barefoot room” with a futon.  There is a full bath next door to the right of the “barefoot room” and the master bed & bath is at the right end of the hall.  Stairs at the other end of the hall lead up to two bedrooms with two double beds each.
