The Roost on Kangaroo Lake is located on the shore of beautiful Kangaroo Lake near the town of Baileys Harbor, Wisconsin. It is a small three bedroom home located in a small bay on the east side of the Lake facing a spectacular conservancy area over which the sun rises. Accomodations include a bedroom  with a double bed, a bedroom with two twins and a single twin bedroom. There is a sofa/sleeper in the living room. There is one bath with a shower. The kitchen has everything for cooking including a sizeable refrigerator/freezer for storing food. The kitchen shares space with the dining area. The living area includes a Franklin stove, a nice seating area and a television (local stations only). There is electric base board heating and an air conditioning unit. There is not a washer or dryer on site, but there are Laundromats  in Sister Bay and Jacksonport.

The Roost sits on a primarily wooded site, but with a substantial lawn area reaching to the water for lawn games or just relaxing. Roost includes a pier for tying up boats and one can easily wade into the water for swimming.

Kangaroo Lake is the largest spring fed lake in Door County with many species of fish including perch, walleye, large and small mouth bass, bluegill, rock bass and northern pike. Remember, if you use live bait, go for the minnows that are native to the lake. You can catch them with the provided minnow net right off the pier. One of our favorite spots for picnicking on the lake is the South end where you can anchor in shallow water with a sand bottom. It is a great place to just throw a ball around and soak up the sun.

There are great restaurants, shops and charter fishing approximately one and one half miles away in Baileys Harbor. Within seven miles you can visit the villages of Egg Harbor, Fish Creek, Ephraim, Sister Bay and Jacksonport.

Dogs are welcome, but please pick up after them.
