Kayak or paddle board from the sandy beach with extended dock (May install), providing ample opportunities to enjoy the water.  Spend your days waterside, canoe down to Gordon Lodge for lunch, prepare dinner in the spacious island kitchen, or grill and eat al fresco on the spacious patio. Don’t feel like cooking?  Head to Sister Bay, Ephraim, or Baileys Harbor for shopping or dinner out, an easy drive of less than 10 minutes.  It’s truly the best of both worlds with ‘quiet side’ living while being just a quick drive to the action.  Sunrises and sunsets are plentiful from the dock.  Enjoy multiple groomed walking trails at Gordon Lodge just up the road, or build a campfire while overlooking the lakefront, with some of the best stargazing in the Midwest.

For active vacationers, it’s a quick drive to Cana Island, Ridges Sanctuary, Maxwelton Braes Golf Course, and Peninsula or Newport State Parks. Take a class in painting, pottery drawing, painting, and even glassblowing! There are endless restaurant and shopping options, and Door County’s only outdoor theater is just minutes away. Seasonal activities include apple/cherry/berry picking at the many local orchards, fall colors, endless festivals, and snowmobiling and cross country skiing.  Take the ferry to Washington Island to explore, or book a fishing charter and catch your dinner!
